Praise the Lord! We went over our goal for the Annie Armstrong offering.
Milton Bost will be teaching the Romans Bible Study at our church from June 8-11, 2008. Sunday night is at 6:00 PM and Monday through Wednesday is at 7:00 PM. You are welcome to come and study with us..
Our Angel Food Ministry is on-going. We have had a good response from the community. If you have questions, you can call Linda Ary at 636-7146 or 971-9117, or call the church at 636-8076 and leave a message. Please continue to pray as we attempt to reach the people in the area for Christ.

Taylorville

Since January 1st, we have had 11 adults accept Christ as their Savior and 3 baptized.2. In February we placed an advertisement in the Taylorville Bucks that went to over 6000 homes offering a complimentary copy of the pastor’s book, “Lincoln’s Success System.” We gave out over 100 books, and discovered 15 prospective families as a result of the effort. Follow-up is ongoing.
We are anxiously waiting on Marsh Oil to grade, chip and oil our parking lot. This is a major project that will allow us to park more vehicles in our lot. On Easter we had 96 present with only 7 visitors. God continues to bless our outreach efforts.
Inside the church is continuing to experience an upgrading too. The sanctuary has been redecorated and a new piano purchased. The entrance way has been painted and redecorated; the nursery has been totally refurnished, painted and redecorated; both bathrooms have been painted and redecorated; and the kitchen has been painted. The fellowship hall and one final classroom are awaiting their fresh coats of paint in the next month.
The monthly gospel sings are averaging in the high 60s. Our gospel sing is held every second Friday of each month March through September. Our program begins at at 6 pm with a lite meal and the program begins at 7 pm and usually finishes around 9 pm. We have had people as far away as Litchfield, White Hall, West Pekin and Decatur.
You are welcome to attend anytime. You can be part of the singing, or just sit and enjoy.
